Websults-designed new municipal site features custom banners and WordPress CMS

August 28, 2012 – (Nashville, TN) – The City of Gallatin, Tennessee needed a new website, one that would highlight all of the services and attractions for the town and represent the city as successfully as websites for other progressive communities. After a rough start with another contractor, city officials selected Websults®, the Nashville-based web strategy and consulting firm, for the project.
Websults designed a site featuring:
- Streamlined, user friendly presentation
- Custom full color photography banner images for city departments
- Secure online bill payment forms for municipal services
- City information including city officials and department information
- News and events calendar
- Options to sign up for email alerts and other news
- WordPress content management system
“Cities are finding websites are crucial tools in communicating with all their constituents, visitors and potential business and industry,” Websults Principal Jonathan Weindruch said. “The City of Gallatin had a focused vision for their site.”
“We needed to streamline our site and provide a more professional appearance for the site,” Rosemary Bates, Special Projects Director in the Office of the Mayor of the City of Gallatin, said. “We’ve already heard from our peers that they really like the new look and the menu bar on the site. And, it is easy for us to manage.”
Websults included the WordPress content management system in the design of the Gallatin site. Through WordPress, city officials can continually update the site with current news, events and other information.
“A site for a municipality cannot be static,” Weindruch said. “WordPress empowers the City of Gallatin to make the site their own.”
Now that the site is complete, Bates is satisfied with her Websults experience.
“Websults was able to come in and listen to our needs and wants and provide the City of Gallatin the type of website we envisioned,” Bates said. “Websults was both patient and proficient. We are very pleased with the results and with our Websults experience.”
