Growing Nashville-based business did not have an online presence
November 15, 2012 – (Nashville, TN) – In Nashville, local universities are adding dorm space and new apartment/condominium buildings are on the rise downtown. Local company Brookmeade Hardware and Supply is benefitting from the current building boom. However, no one one could find Brookmeade Hardware and Supply online. The family-owned company did not have an online presence, and they were hearing more and more requests for a web address from potential clients.

“We do a lot of cold calling to grow our business,” Billy Nourse, Brookmeade Hardware General Manager said. “The first question we got from potential customers was do we have a website. This new site was built to be a presence on the web for people to learn about us.”
While hardware may be in the company name, Nourse points out that they are not a hardware store in the tradition of the neighborhood hardware store. While the company did start as a local True Value hardware store, Brookmeade Hardware has evolved into a large distributor that sells directly to businesses, not to consumers.
“Websults helped us build a site that corrects the perception that we are a neighborhood hardware store; we are actually a business to business hardware and supply distributor,” Nourse said.
Like many of Websults clients, Brookmeade has plans to develop their website further to be a sales tool. In fact, the website is already generating sales for the company.
“We’ve already picked up a brand new customer since the site launch,” Nourse said. “The customer called to place an order because they found the items they needed in our company online catalog.”
Brookmeade is planning on working with Websults as their site continues to develop.
“We have the long term goal for online ordering since customers consistently request that capability,” Nourse said. “We had a great experience working with Websults, and we look forward to continuing our relationship with them as we add online ordering to the site.”
